running clubs

Marina del Rey Running Club
I am the head coach of this free running club in Los Angeles' beautiful Marina del Rey neighborhood, we run mileage up to 10k and do speedwork, all along the water and boat docks. There's water and fruit and lots of socializing at the end of the run, and did I mention it's FREE?

Novice Marathoner Training Program
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training Program hires professional coaches to take absolute beginners to the finish line of a full marathon (26.2 mile) and half marathon (13.1 miles). During the five month training, I lead my team in increasingly longer runs/walks, and teach running/walking form, injury prevention, hydration and nutrition and how to find the proper shoes and gear to endure a marathon. I am proud to have a perfect record of all of my runners, who made it through the five month training program, completing their first marathon and having the glory of forever being called a marathoner.

personal training and coaching certifications

National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
NASM certified personal trainers are the most highly recognized, recommended and expertly trained professionals in the field. They specifically focus on core strengthening, proper technique, and injury prevention and rehabilitation.

USA Track & Field Association (USATF)
USATF is the National Governing Body for track and field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States. It is the only national organization to certify running coaches. I've been an avid runner since age 7, and certified as a USATF coach since 2005.
